The saver day pass from your commune is a travel document that allows you access to unlimited travel for one full day by bus, Postbus, tram, train and on some boats. The day pass usually gives you a discount with private bus and cable car companies.
The day pass is issued in your name, so you cannot transfer it to anyone else. If you lose the pass, it can be reissued.
Not every commune sells these day passes. Contact the communal administration to find out whether your commune sells the passes and what you need to do to get one.

The price of the day pass varies depending on the date of purchase: the earlier you buy it, the more you save. You can purchase it from six months in advance until the day before your trip.
The SBB website provides useful information about the saver day pass available at your commune, including current prices and how to use it.
The SBB website also provides information on the area of validity of the GA travel card, which also applies to the saver day pass.
The portal on the availability of the day passes lets you check whether there are any day cards still available for the day you wish to travel. In fact, for each day, the number of day passes is limited for all of Switzerland.
