Premiums and changing health insurers – in brief

At the end of September, the Federal Office of Public Health published the new health insurance premiums for 2017. These premiums apply to basic insurance; health insurers can provide details of any premium increases for supplementary insurance.

How do I change health insurers?

You have to give notice on your health insurance by the end of November at the latest. You can read more at "Changing health insurer – When and how?" 

Bear in mind that supplementary insurance policies must usually be cancelled by the end of September. For more detailed information, read your health insurer’s general terms and conditions.
