Visa application form

There are different types of visa application forms:

  • Visa application form C (also referred to as a Schengen visa application) – for stays in the entire Schengen Area lasting up to 90 days within a six-month period (for tourism, visits). If the purpose of travel is to pursue employment, then a work permit will be required.
  • Visa application form D – for stays that are longer than three months (employment, family reunification).

The corresponding visa application form can be obtained from the Swiss diplomatic/consular mission in your country or may be downloaded here.

Please fill out this form and send it to the Swiss diplomatic/consular mission. Please submit your visa application early as it can take between six and eight weeks to process, or exceptionally even longer, depending on the season. Each visa costs EUR 60 in addition to any processing fees.
